PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM BLENDS TECHNOLOGIES
SANTA MARIA, CA., September 16, 2005—Helical Products Company offers a “generate only” product enhancement program that enables customers to utilize their own machine processing expertise with Helical’s “Flexure” generating capabilities. The resulting component thus benefits from the customer’s and Helical’s combined know how.
In using this service the customer maintains control over critical machining areas, at the same time takes advantage of Helical’s “Flexure” generation technology in producing a flexible component.
An ideal situation where the “generate only” option may be exercised is a customer’s assembly that shows excessive wear. The customer needs some elasticity in the system, however the system lacks room for a complete flexible coupling. The solution is to integrate a HELI-CAL® Flexure (coil) into an existing component; this helps to relieve any excessive loads from misalignment. Such integrated parts can have marked impact on system performance.
