THICKER MEANS STIFFER
SANTA MARIA, CA., May 31, 2001 -- Varying
coil thickness enables HELI-CAL® Flexure, beam style couplings to
accommodate increasing amounts of torque.
The designer may specify torsional stiffness and compression spring
rates independent of other factors.
Flexible,
beam type couplings are machined from homogenous, high strength materials into
helical, curved beam configurations. The
resulting flexible couplings compensate for shaft misalignment and work at high
speed, transmitting high torque at a constant velocity.
There is zero backlash and no maintenance is required.
