SANTA MARIA, CA., September 26, 2001-- Unique coil configuration concept enables Helical to develop miniature, ‘flexured’ couplings that perform multiple functions without separate parts or the associated maintenance usually required by multi-piece, flexible couplings.

            Machined from single piece homogenous, high strength material, HELI-CAL® Flexure couplings compensate for shaft misalignment and work at high speeds, transmitting high torque at a constant rotational velocity.  There is no backlash.

            By altering the coil configuration, material, or attachment of each HELI-CAL Flexure, the designer can select the optimum combination of factors which best meet his design requirements.
