SANTA MARIA, CA., November 3, 2000--Helical Products Company’s HELI-CAL “Flexure,” helix beam type couplings are producible in a wide range of materials, coil thickness, coil numbers and configuration, making them suitable for a variety of motion control, instrumentation and power transmission applications.

The HELI-CAL Flexure’s signature characteristic—the “flex”—is a helical coil pattern that can be designed to affect torque capacity, angular misalignment, parallel offset, torsional stiffness, axial movement and compression spring rate.  The helix (curved) beam is machined from one piece of material  into specific configurations that incorporate special design requirements, performance features or characteristics.
